LOS ANGELES – The Justice, Care and Opportunities Department (JCOD)invites community-based organizations to apply for funding through the fifth round of Los Angeles County’s Care First Community Investment (CFCI) Care Grants, which support community-based services across Los Angeles County.

The fifth LA County CFCI Care Grant funding allocation was approved by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and includes funding for thirty different Program Areas across the five CFCI Strategies: 1) Diversion, Behavioral Health & Wellness; 2) Economic Opportunity & Sustainability; 3) Education Access & Youth Development; 4) Housing Stability; and 5) Reentry & Community Reintegration. CFCI Year 5 Care Grants will be administered by three additional Third-Party Administrators alongside Amity Foundation: Community Partners, Heluna Health, and United Way LA.

Organizations interested in applying should review all eligibility requirements, complete the application, and submit all required materials through the Round 5 LA County CFCI application at CFCI Year 5 Care Grants. Applications must be submitted byAugust 24, 2026 at 11:59 PM to be considered.

CFCI was created by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and placed under JCOD’s stewardship in November 2022 to invest in community-based services and expand access to critical resources across the County.

The program was established following the approval of Measure J in 2020, which requires the County to allocate 10% of its locally generated, unrestricted revenues to community investment and alternatives to traditional justice system responses. Since its launch, LA County CFCI Care Grants have directed more than $350 million to community-based organizations serving residents across all five supervisorial districts.
