JCOD and Dirtbags Academy to Celebrate New Skilled Trades Training Program for Justice-Involved Individuals

LONG BEACH — The Justice, Care and Opportunities Department (JCOD) is celebrating the launch of a new partnership with Dirtbags Academy, expanding workforce development opportunities for justice-involved individuals through JCOD’s Skills+Experience for the Careers of Tomorrow (SECTOR) program.
The new 12-week per-apprenticeship training program is designed to prepare 19 participants for careers in the skilled trades. Through this partnership, students will receive hands-on instruction in areas such as motorcycle maintenance, repair, fabrication, welding, detailing and more.
